Make Your Own Dashboard

Chris Brogan had a great post about making a conference dashboard on IGoogle. I would assume everyone has that, but if you don’t it’s free and it is on Google.

But what I have done lately is used this concept as one of my home pages. This way I have over on the right my RSS feeds I am monitoring, my calendar in the center, my links to important sites, typically a customers, I am working on, etc. The promise I made to myself when I constructed these was not to get married to any of them. I change them weekly, daily, anytime I want too. If I am interested in something I drop a link into it. Is it increasing my productivity? We never know on many of these things? If you continue using them and the novelty does not wear off than I believe that I am. And if I believe, well that’s half the battle.

Google Chrome came out and is doing the same thing for you webpages. I have my 6 most visited pages ready to click into it immediately.
